Care Intel Alerts terms
Last updated 27 September 2026
These terms apply when you sign up for Care Intel Alerts, the weekly email of health and social care tenders. Please read them before you subscribe. If your organisation uses the Care Intel Workspace, your agreement with us for that applies instead.
1. Who we are
Care Intel is a product of Vertex Platform Solutions. The service is provided by Ricardo Calcina, trading as Vertex Platform Solutions ("we", "us"). You can contact us at ricardo@vertexplatformsolutions.com, or by replying to any Alerts email.
2. Business customers only
Alerts is for organisations that provide health and social care services, buying for their business. By signing up you confirm that you are acting for your organisation and not as a consumer. "You" means that organisation.
3. What Alerts is
- A weekly email of notices published on Find a Tender and Contracts Finder that match your saved business details and facts read from your uploaded documents, with the reasons each one fits.
- We check each digest before it is sent. In a week with no matches we send a short email saying so.
- "Fit" describes how a notice matches your answers. It is not a chance of winning, and it is not advice about whether to bid.
- Notices are written and published by buyers. We don't promise that a digest includes every notice that could suit you, or that a notice's details are correct or up to date. Always check the notice itself, and its closing date, on the source website before you act.
- Alerts is not legal, procurement or bid-writing advice.
4. Your free first digest
After you finish setting up, your first digest is free. We don't ask for payment details, and you don't have to subscribe. If you don't, we send no more digests.
5. Subscription and payment
- A subscription costs £39 a month. Vertex Platform Solutions isn't VAT-registered, so no VAT is added.
- You pay through Stripe, monthly in advance, starting on the day you subscribe. Stripe emails your receipts.
- A subscription covers one profile and one recipient. You may forward digests within your own organisation.
- We may change the price. We'll email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
- If a payment fails, Stripe tries again and emails you. If it still can't be taken, your subscription ends and the digests stop.
6. Cancelling
- You can cancel at any time with Manage billing or Unsubscribe in any digest. Your billing stops at the end of the month you have paid for, and you won't be charged again. We don't refund part months.
- We can end your subscription by giving you 30 days' notice by email, and we'll refund any month you've paid for and won't receive.
- We can end your subscription straight away if you break these terms in a serious way, for example by reselling digests.
7. Using the digests
Digests are for your organisation's own use in finding and preparing bids. Please don't resell, republish or share them outside your organisation. Links in digests are personal to you; anyone with a link could change your settings, so don't pass them on.
8. Our responsibility to you
- We'll provide Alerts with reasonable care and skill.
- We aren't responsible for decisions you make based on a digest, for notices we didn't include, for tenders you don't win, or for lost profits, revenue, contracts or other indirect losses.
- Our total responsibility for any claims about Alerts is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Your information
Our privacy notice explains how we handle the information you give us, including how long we keep it.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change affects your subscription, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
11. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will deal with any dispute.
